TrigStar is an annual high school mathematics competition sponsored locally by the Northwest Chapter of the Montana Association of Registered Land Surveyors (MARLS) and is based on the practical application of Trigonometry. This test is scheduled in the late spring (2024: April 16 from 7:45-9:05am - Period 1 School Sponsored) and will require several practices. Compete for cash awards and scholarships, in addition to moving onto state and national levels of competition!

An annual mathematics competition for students in grades 7-12 held at Flathead Valley Community College this year. Each participant must register to take 3 tests (each test is 30 minutes) and the Team Test can have up to 5 students on a team. Regional and state scholarships and awards can be earned. The FHS Math Department will cover the registration fee and provide transportation for this School Sponsored event.

The MAA American Mathematics Competitions (MAA AMC) is dedicated to the goal of strengthening the mathematical capabilities of our nation’s youth. We believe that one way to meet this goal is to identify, recognize, and reward excellence in mathematics through a series of national contests.
The MAA American Mathematics Competitions (MAA AMC) is dedicated to the goal of strengthening the mathematical capabilities of our nation’s youth. We believe that one way to meet this goal is to identify, recognize, and reward excellence in mathematics through a series of national contests.
This Math Contest is organized and hosted by School District 5 (Kalispell) math teachers. Student participants will be School Sponsored on Thursday, March 17, 2022 (one or more periods).
